…….George Martin was the third Beatle, just behind Lennon and McCartney. The legendary Beatles producer has died at the age of 90. In terms of his sphere of influence on popular and classical music in the 20th century, George Martin’s longevity will last well beyond his 90 years. More like 900 years!!

What qualifies George Martin to be the third Beatle is that quite simply without his classical arrangements there would be no Beatles, or at least not as we know them today!!
