As part of their 50th anniversary celebrations, the Rolling Stones will attend a photographic exhibition showcasing the band on the 12th July. This date marks the 50th anniversary to the day of the Rolling Stones’ first concert at the famous and legendary Marquee
Club in London. The exhibition at Somerset House in London will showcase prints and photographs, including concert images and studio shots and negatives and outtakes from throughout the band’s history.
The band debuted as The Rollin’ Stones on 12th July 1962 and comprised Mick Jagger (vocals), Keith Richards (guitar), Brian Jones (guitar), Ian Stewart (piano), Dick Taylor (bass) and Tony Chapman (drums.) The exhibition will open free to the public on 13th July and will run until 27th August. The Rolling Stones recently unveiled an updated logo to mark their 50th anniversary, and they are strongly considering playing at least one live show this year to celebrate this major milestone.

I honestly did not know the results of the poll before stating that my favorite song is Paint it Black. I like the edge of the song and think it perfectly symbolises the Rolling Stones willingness to push boundaries at the time. A great band, of which there are no more. The old music is the best!!
Hi Sean. The “poll” that you refer to is totally non scientific, in as much as it is purely my Top 10 favourite songs!! That said, it’s great to see the “great minds thinking alike” adage, being played out!! :-)
