EMI has launched a competition whereby Pink Floyd fans and the general public have to find Pink Floyd album posters around UK towns and post images online of themselves in front of the posters.

The campaign has been designed to promote the recent release of special editions of the group’s albums and the launch of remastered versions of Pink Floyd’s back catalogue. The album cover “treasure hunt” will direct fans via social media sites to 14 posters across 11 UK towns, with each poster representing a Pink Floyd album cover. All that Pink Floyd fans have to do to enter the competition is to take a photo of themselves in front of the posters.

EMI have decided to host the competition on webdoc.com as the platform for people to upload the images and enter the competition, instead of on Pink Floyd’s social media sites or website. Winners will receive a Cambridge Audio streaming music player and box sets of the 14 remastered albums.

Pink Floyd have produced some truly iconic album covers, such as “Dark Side of the Moon”, “Wish You Were Here”, “Animals” and “The Wall”. Of course the fantastic album art cover was supported by some truly fantastic music – so here’s a Top 5 Greatest Pink Floyd Album Tracks:
